Volunteer Opportunities

  • Patient Visitor Volunteer:
    Provides companionship, respite, chores, errands and light physical care for patients and families.

 

  • Creative Arts Volunteer:
    Provides support through art or music. Relevant creative arts background is preferred, but not required.

  • Bereavement Volunteer:
    Provides continued support to Hospice Hawaii families through telephone calls and/or visits. May assist with bereavement support groups, memorial services, and children's bereavement camp.

  • Office Volunteer:
    Provides filing, computer data entry, typing, telephone, and bulk mailing support.

  • Speaker's Bureau Volunteer:
    Educates the community about Hospice Hawaii and our services. Assists with special events and community awareness projects such as displays at senior fairs and other events.

  • Community Representative Volunteer:
    Assists marketing & development staff at special educational or fundraising events such as community outreach presentations or benefit fundraiser wine tasting, and silent auction.

  • Professional Volunteer:
    Provides leadership to the organizations as a member of Hospice Hawaii's Board of Directors or other professional services such as notary, massage therapy, reiki, and healing touch.

  • Internships and Practicuum:
    Available for nursing, social work, and continuing pastoral education students.
