About Us

We are an ohana of trained and committed caregivers dedicated to providing support to patients with life-limited illness and their families.  Our goal is to help those in our care experience a meaningful end-of-life journey, to ensure their comfort, their dignity, and to do everything we can to keep them free from pain and suffering.

Our Mission

To Bring Hope, Reduce Fears and Impact Lives.

Our Vision

Create a community in which excellence in end-of-life care is recognized through our trans-disciplinary approach to care for patients and families.

Our Philosophy

Hospice Hawaii’s philosophy, Na Hoa Malama (The Caring Friends), reflects a team approach dedicated to excellence. We focus on you or your loved one’s physical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual well-being. Our comprehensive, interdisciplinary program of care is designed to support your choices, preserve your dignity, and allow you the opportunity to live life as fully as possible in the comfort of your home or other chosen setting.

Our Values

Reliance on the integrity, strength and ability of another person. Open and honest with ourselves, our coworkers and those whom we serve. “When a gifted team dedicates itself to unselfish trust and combines instinct with boldness and effort, it is ready to climb.”

Adherence to moral and ethical principles with consistency between the inner and outer worlds: a “wholeness.” Wisdom is knowing the right thing to do and integrity is doing it.

Starts with being fully present to the experience of the other, recognizing the interdependence and ultimately, that there is no “other.”

Honoring the others values and traditions, approaching each person with an open heart and open mind.

By working together, we are led to excellence. Excellence is life long learning, and achieving excellence is habitual. Its is a continued practice of the art and attitude…a commitment to practicing our values in all we do.
