About Hospice Hawaii

The Hospice Hawaii Ohana

Hospice care is about living your end-of-life journey with dignity and comfort, and above all, it’s about choosing how you want to live for as long as possible. At Hospice Hawaii, we are an ohana of trained and committed caregivers dedicated to helping patients and their families face this transition with hope and without fear, surrounded by unconditional love. The care we provide allows individuals to remain at home or in their chosen setting and to live life to the fullest with their loved ones. We care for the whole family by providing relief from physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual suffering.

about-us

Our Mission

To Bring Hope, Reduce Fears and Impact Lives.

Our Vision

Create a community in which excellence in end-of-life care is recognized through our trans-disciplinary approach to care for patients and families.

Our philosophy

Hospice Hawaii’s philosophy, Na Hoa Malama (The Caring Friends), reflects a team approach dedicated to excellence. We focus on you or your loved one’s physical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual well-being. Our comprehensive, interdisciplinary program of care is designed to support your choices, preserve your dignity, and allow you the opportunity to live life as fully as possible in the comfort of your home or other chosen setting.

Our Values

Trust

Reliance on the integrity, strength and ability of another person. Open and honest with ourselves, our coworkers and those whom we serve.

Integrity

Adherence to moral and ethical principles with consistency between the inner and outer worlds: a “wholeness.” Wisdom is knowing the right thing to do and integrity is doing it.

Compassion

Starts with being fully present to the experience of the other, recognizing the interdependence and ultimately, that there is no “other.”

Respect

Honoring the other’s values and traditions, approaching each person with an open heart and open mind.

Collaboration

By working together, we are led to excellence. Excellence is lifelong learning, and achieving excellence is habitual. It is a continued practice of the art and attitude…a commitment to practicing our values in all we do.
