As a flexible and dynamic healthcare provider in the State of Hawaii, Hospice Hawaii is always looking to add the best professionals to our team. Hospice Hawaii provides both home-based care, involving traveling to the patient’s home. We also operate a five-bed hospice unit in Kailua, staffed 24 hours per day with RNs or LPNs and CNAs.

We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:

Volunteer Coordinator

Organized, compassionate individual needed to coordinate volunteer program. Must have the confidence to recruit, train, engage and retain a variety of individuals and assign them support the needs of our organization. This includes patient/family care and support, community outreach and engagement and other volunteer needs that arise. Must have excellent communication, organization and outreach skills as well as the ability to work closely with a diverse community of individuals. Must have a degree in any humanities or related field and at least 3 years of management experience. Past experience with hospice care helpful but not required.

Community Openings

Admissions RNs (FT)

Skilled, confident RNs needed to meet with, assess & admit patients/families to our service. Provides support/education to community health care providers on the benefits of hospice care. Must have active HI RN license and 2 years experience in acute setting, hospice/home care and sales experience preferred.

Director of Nursing (FT)

Strong nursing leader needed to manage the clinical operations department and ensure that our patients and families are receiving the best in hospice care. Must have excellent leadership and teaching skills and fully understand the Medicare Hospice Benefit regulations. Must be proficient in computer applications including EMR systems. Must have Master’s in Nursing and at least 5 years of progressive management experience. Hospice or Home Health experience helpful.

Kailua Home Openings

CNAs, (per diem)

Experienced CNAs needed to cover shifts at our 5 bed, Kailua Home. On call, 12 hour (7 am through 7 pm or 7 pm through 7 am) shifts. Must have current State of Hawaii certification as a home health aide as well as one year of direct patient care experience.


All positions require a valid driver’s license, use of personal vehicle with valid insurance, registration and safety check.
