What Your Donation Provides

Founded in 1979, Hospice Hawaii provides high-quality end-of-life care to patients, and their loved ones, in need throughout our island community. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience a meaningful end of life journey, an enhanced sense of belonging, and a sense of purpose and hope.

Hospice Hawaii focuses on the individual’s physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being offering a comprehensive, interdisciplinary program of care designed to support choices, preserve dignity, and allow the opportunity to live life as fully as possible in the comfort of their home or other chosen setting.

Hospice Hawaii is committed to meeting the needs of our patients and their families. Through the generous support of our community, we are able to provide:

  • Purchase much needed medications for patients to relieve pain and suffering.
  • Purchase medical equipment including hospital beds, etc…
  • Hire quality medical staff to care for patients.
  • Hire trained social workers to work with patients and families in a holistic manner.
  • Fund community outreach programs.
  • Staff the Hospice Homes (Kailua/Palolo) to provide much needed respite care or special care needs.
  • Enable staff to go out to the patient wherever they call home.
  • Host bereavement camps for children and families.
  • Provide bereavement support to family and friends
  • Offer end-of-life care to anyone medically eligible to receive hospice care, regardless of their ability to pay.
