Memorial Gifts

You may choose to designate Hospice Hawaii as a beneficiary of memorials so family and friends can make donations in memory of your loved one lieu of flowers. A memorial gift honors the memory of their life.

Supporters who generously donate $1,000 in a single contribution in memory of a loved one are offered the opportunity add a leaf to Hospice Hawaii’s growing Tree of Remembrance.

Matching Gifts Program

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Matching Gift Programs can be of great help to Hospice Hawaii. Contributions to a non-profit organization can be doubled when matched by the donor’s employer. To start the process, donors should ask their employers for a matching gift form, fill it out, and enclose it with their donation to Hospice Hawaii.

Planned Giving

There are many different ways you can choose to financially support Hospice Hawaii separate from writing a check. For many, these gift options enable them to give more than they thought possible, while saving taxes, meeting personal needs, and/or simplifying their lives. Some are current gifts, such as gifts of appreciated securities, real estate, and lifetime gifts from your IRA that Hospice Hawaii can use immediately. Others are deferred, meaning that you give some of your assets to Hospice Hawaii when you are sure you no longer need them (at the end of your lifetime). The most popular of these gifts is a bequest in a will or living trust. You can also make a gift while retaining an income stream from the assets – perhaps even increasing your cash flow.
