Community Liaison (FT)
Responsible for generating and responding to new referrals from hospitals, nursing facilities and other community partners . These skilled sales professionals who possess the demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate strong relationships with our referral sources through outreach, education and networking. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration or other related fields and a minimum of one year direct sales experience; preferably in the healthcare environment. Having knowledge of hospital/physician referral process and end-of-life care is preferred.
CNAs (Per Diem)
Experienced CNAs needed to care for our patients at our Kailua Home. Qualified candidates must be available for 12-hour shifts (Day – 7:00 am through 7:00 pm or Night – 7:00 pm through 7:00 am). Must have current State of Hawaii certification as a home health aide as well as one year of direct patient care experience.
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Coordinator (FT)
Supports and trains our clinicians and other staff on the efficient use of our EMR software program. The EMR Coordinator collaborates with the EMR vendor and our clinicians to identify, resolve and/or escalate practice concerns. Must have Bachelors in Education, IT or related field and minimum 1-3 years healthcare experience; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Access
Marketing and Development Manager (FT)
Our Marketing and Development Manager represents the mission and values of Hospice Hawaii with passion and enthusiasm through marketing efforts. The individual’s primary responsibility includes; but is not limited to, strategic execution and management of a comprehensive Annual Giving Program, public outreach through Corporate Relationships and Sponsorship Solicitation, Community Outreach & Education focused on the senior community, and oversight of Na Hoa Malama, Hospice Hawaii’s annual gala. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration or other related field as well as a minimum two years direct sales experience.
Nurse Case Managers (FT)
Provides case management services to best benefit our community patients and caregivers needs in a manner that reflects compliance with federal and state regulations; documents all nursing and case management activities in accordance with hospice protocol; participates in Interdisciplinary Team conferences and may be required to assume on-call duties after hours on holidays or weekends as needed. Must have a current Hawaii RN license. BSN preferred; and at least one year of experience in a healthcare or gerontology setting.
Staff Accountant (FT)
Responsible for all aspects of the Accounts Payable function which includes processing invoices, preparing/issuing check payments, reconciling monthly vendor statements against invoices and responding to vendor-related inquiries among other Accounts Payable functions. This individual is also responsible for recording daily bank transactions into the accounting and billing system (i.e., client remittances and receipts), processing of checks and credit card receipts, and investigating/reporting on variances as necessary. The Staff Accountant is also tasked with the preparation of monthly recurring and adjusting journal entries as part of the Finance Department’s month-end closing process. The individual in this role is also expected to assist in the preparation of various monthly and/or ad hoc reconciliation workpapers and annual audit schedules as directed by the Accounting Manager. The Staff Accountant is also responsible for maintaining paid vendor files, bank deposit files, various monthly statement work papers and assists in the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department as necessary.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 3 years of experience in professional level accounting. Additional experience in healthcare industry is a plus. Proficient in the use of GL software, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Email and Internet. Proficient and accurate keyboard skills. Flexible, organized and detail oriented. Basic understanding and an appreciation to work on projects to achieve the business and campaign goals of Hospice Hawaii.
