Grief is the natural human reaction to significant loss, and it can be overwhelming. The intensity and duration of grief, as well as some of the physical and emotional symptoms common to grieving, take many people by surprise, especially if this is their first major loss.
Family and friends want to help but often find themselves at a loss. They often don’t know what to say or do. Finding a gentle, caring and supportive person is often the best way to begin the healing process.
This is where Hospice Hawaii can help.
Support from our Bereavement Counselors and trained volunteers is available up to a year following the death of a loved one. Additionally, Hospice Hawaii offers grief workshops and support groups for adults who have experienced loss and want to connect with others for support and healing.
