Resources

Hospice Hawaii is committed to offering education to our entire community on topics related to comfort care and end-of-life care.

Formal and Informal Training / Speaking Engagements

Our training can be tailored to meet the needs of a specific professional or community group. Among the topics:

  • Understanding Hospice Care
  • Care of the Dying
  • Bereavement
  • Pain and Symptom Management
  • Advance Health Care Directives
  • Other issues of interest

We offer formal and informal trainings to the community, healthcare professionals, businesses or other interested groups such as Lions, Rotary, etc.

Consultations & Family Conferences

Learning that a loved one is facing a life-threatening illness can leave the entire family in a state of uncertainty and even shock. Critical decisions may be required, and often in a very quick timeframe. These decisions require the family to understand what type of care is desired by the patient and what options for care are available. There are also times when patients and their families wish to learn more about hospice care before beginning Hospice Hawaii services.

Hospice Hawaii staff are available to consult with families during those times as they struggle to find answers to their questions.

To schedule a training or consultation contact us at 808-924-9255 or info@hospicehawaii.org.
